Group Runs

Open to all levels of experience. The Monday-Wednesday groups leave from Skagit Running Company located in downtown Mount Vernon (702 S 1st St, 360-982-2934). The Thursday run starts at Heart Lake in Anacortes. Directions are given prior to group departure to ensure everyone stays on track and allows for a variety of paces. Runs are free and open to all. Regardless of the weather, runs will be held unless it's unsafe to be outside. Note the group pace and align yourself with the appropriate group. During the winter months, reflective gear and/or headlamps are highly recommended for runs in the dark.

Mondays @ 6:00 PM
3 - 6 miles, 9-11 min/mile pace run. Great for beginners or for others wanting a very easy recovery run on Monday.

Tuesdays @ 6:00 PM
Up to 6 miles, 7-8:30 min/mile pace run.

Wednesdays @ 6:00 PM
Up to 7 miles, 7-8 min/mile pace run. This may be a tempo run for some. This is considered to be the advanced group. There is also a group on Wednesday that runs at 9-11 min/mile pace and leaves at the same time.

Thursdays @ 6:00 PM (Heart Lake in Anacortes)
3 - 7 miles. Trail run starting at Heart Lake in Anacortes. To get to Heart Lake, go Highway 20 west, right onto Commercial, left on 32nd Ave, then left on H Ave/Heart Lake Road. One mile down parking entrance is on the right. Contact Ian Marshall for more information.
